TESNIT® BA-C – PFAS Free Gasket Material with High Chemical Resistance

Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including fluoropolymers and fluorinated gases (F-gases) have been in the discussion for a ban for quite some time due to their negative impact on the environment and health.

Even if no one can say clearly at the moment whether the PFAS restriction will lead to a ban of PTFE-based gasket materials in the future, DONIT is preparing with a clear strategy complying with its EcoVadis silver medal 2023 and the related responsibility.

DONIFLON® as our class of PTFE gasket materials remains in our portfolio as a solution for applications where only the outstanding chemical resistance of PTFE can provide an adequate sealing solution.

Nevertheless, e.g. for acidic and alkaline media, the use of PFAS-free TESNIT® BA-C can be a suitable working solution and can help reduce environmental problems by partially replacing PTFE.

TESNIT® BA-C is a CNAF gasket material with a special, chemically resistant rubber, available in standard thicknesses and formats.
